Study: MOTOmed movement therapy significantly improves the quality of life of dialysis patients

In June 2023, the unique results of one of the largest studies on exercise in patients with chronic kidney failure were published.

Thanks to 21 dialysis centers with over 1,000 dialysis patients and 66 MOTOmed movement therapy devices, the DiaTT study was carried out over a one-year intervention period and important findings were obtained. With DiaTT the risk factors in dialysis patients can be positively influenced.“, says University Professor Dr. med. Martin Halle, head of the consortium. Under the supervision of trained therapists, training individually tailored to each patient that included a strength and endurance component using MOTOmed movement therapy equipment for training in supine position was carried out.
